This 3 hour excursion brings you to Fort Charlotte, built in the early 19th century, which now houses a museum. Following this, you'll visit one of the oldest botanical gardens in the Western Hemisphere, where you'll experience the beauty of a vast array of flowers, plants, and trees. Before enjoying a complimentary refreshment at tour's end at Villa Beach, you'll see the acres of banana trees, cocoa, nutmeg, and coconut groves that thrive in the Mesopotamia Valley.

Booking Advice: Because of the walking involved, this tour usually receives a moderate activity rating. Kingstown Highlights tours through the cruise lines tend to cost $10 less per adult, have a similar itinerary, and are regarded as easy in terms of activity level.

Catamaran Sail to Bequia

As if St. Vincent was lovely enough, on this excursion you'll sail to another strikingly gorgeous island, Bequi, which is about 9 miles out. The Bequia island experience includes time to beachcomb and swim, a chance to view some unusual houses fancifully constructed from materials “at hand,” dine on a “castaway” lunch, and enjoy a complimentary rum punch on your return journey.

Price: Adults expect to pay $129 to $135

Booking Advice: Snorkeling is at your own risk, and you will need to provide your own equipment. This excursion lasts for 7 hours, and is rated as moderate in terms of activity level.

Kayak & Snorkel St. Vincent

For 3 hours, this excursion provides that unique experience to both kayak and snorkel in waters less populated by tourists. You'll experience the reef by Petit Byahaut, and enjoy the sight of tropical fishes in these calm waters.

Price: Adults expect to pay about $100.

Booking Advice: This activity is rated as strenuous. It follows that good snorkeling locations make for wonderful SCUBA diving, and third party vendors offer one and two tank dives for $83 and $129, respectively. SCUBA dive excursions last from 2 to 3.5 hours.

Hiking the Vermont Nature Trail

This 4 hour excursion begins with a coach ride through quaint villages and scenic countryside to the start of your three quarter mile hike in the St. Vincent Parrot Reserve. It's considered to be a great hiking and bird watching opportunity in the enchanting rain forest. At the end of your hike, refreshments are served before your return trip home.

Price: Adults expect to pay $49.

Booking Advice: This excursion is strenuous, and certainly not for everyone. The trails can be slippery and have many inclines. Since you are going to be in a rain forest, comfortable shoes, water, and a change of clothes are suggested.

Pirates of the Caribbean Bach Excursion

For 2 and a half hours, leave Kingstown behind and experience the gold and black sand beaches of St. Vincent's western coast. The tour takes you by boat to a site where The Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed. Refreshments, including a strong rum punch are available.

Price: Adults expect to pay about $70.

Booking Advice: This excursion is rated as easy. If you want to snorkel, you'll need your own equipment, and no instruction is provided. You are also advised that you're snorkeling at your own risk. You'll see some beautiful scenery, so we do suggest that you bring your camera.
