Los Angeles Shore Excursion Guide

Cruise lines offer a number of shore excursions for sale when visiting Los Angeles. For your convenience, we have provided a sample listing below of the shore excursions typically sold by cruise lines that visit Los Angeles. You may wish to check out 3rd party shore excursions in Los Angeles to get a wider variety of options to choose from.

Universal Studios On Your Own

Basically, this is just round trip to and from the cruise terminal. However, once at the studios, the “Glamour Train” takes you by the Parting of the Red Sea, Jaws, and a Jurassic Park “nature” scene among other highlights. You may also want to stroll and shop along the Universal City Walk, and transportation will pick you up after 7 hours.
 
Price: Adults expect to pay around $40 for transportation to and from the studios.
 
Booking Advice: This tour is rated as moderately physically taxing due to the walking involved, and does NOT include lunch or admission into Universal Studios. Admission for one adult is around $77. Admission is also good for the theme park as well. For the convenience of this transportation in Los Angeles, cruise line prices are considered to be OK.

Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Olvera Street,, and the Farmer's Market

En route to Olvera Street, one of LA's oldest streets, you'll pass by the LA Coliseum, the Sports Arena, and the Museum of Natural History. Once you arrive at Olvera Street, there'll be time to stroll about and view the cafes and Mexican handicrafts. You'll then be driven across Sunset Blvd., and if time permits you'll stop at the Hollywood Bowl. You then stop at Grauman's Chinese Theatre, where you can see celebrity prints enshrined in concrete.Your final stop is the Farmer's Market for lunch and a chance to stroll about and shop.
