Celebrity Cruises Children's Programs Overview
Celebrity Cruises features a wide variety of age appropriate youth activities through the X-Club Youth Programs. There is so much for kids to do onboard a Celebrity Cruise ship and Celebrity makes it easy for them to connect with people their own age in a safe and fun environment. For the adults, this means the peace of mind and a little extra time for couples to reconnect as well. However, while there are plenty of ways for the kids to "do their own thing", there is ample opportunity for family time as well.
Celebrity's X-Club Youth Program is divided into groups based on age ranges:
- Admiral Teens(ages 12-17),
- Ensigns(ages 9-11),
- Celebrity Cadets(ages 6-8),
- Ship Mates(ages 3-5)
- Toddler Time(for the under 3 years old cruisers)
Qualification of Kid's Program Staff
Each group in the Celebrity Youth program has their own counselors overseeing the activities, their own dedicated space, and age–appropriate planned activities for their group. Counselors have formal education in Child Development, Education, Recreation or related areas and also have experiences handling groups of kids ages 3-17.They are also trained in CPR and some speak German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and French.

Celebrity Cruises Kid's Program Costs and Operating Hours
The Celebrity Youth Programs are available throughout the year from 9AM or half an hour before arriving at a port. The Fun Factory/playroom hours are 9AM-10PM daily. When the ship is in port, there is a charge of $6/hour/child for kids’ ages 3-12 who want to participate in the activities/services offered by the Youth staff.
Admiral Teens (Ages 12-17)
The Admiral Teens program features a more casual way for teens to hangout and connect in an environment that suits them. They can watch movies, enjoy themed parties, play video and trivia games and participate in karaoke. There are also sport tournaments, pool parties and late night dancing for teens.
Ensigns (Ages 9-11)
The kids in a Celebrity Cruise Ensigns program also have their own dedicated space that gives them a place to call their own. They can enjoy watching movies, video games, scavenger hunts, ship tours and karaoke – just to name a few. There are also special activities planned for them including pool parties and ice cream and pizza parties.
Celebrity Cadets (Ages 6-8)
Children in the Celebrity Cadets program are supervised by staff that has a formal education child development. You'll see your child's excitement grow as soon as they meet their counselor and get assigned to their group. From finger painting to cartoon time, arts and crafts to outdoor games, your little ones will have a blast!
Ship Mates (Ages 2-5)
The Celebrity Ship Mates program features activities such as treasure hunts, cartoon time, arts and crafts and a ball pit so your little ones will have a wonderful time under the watchful eye of the Youth counselors. Celebrity also provides babysitting services in the evenings. So plan a "date night" or "quiet time" just for two.
Toddler Time (Toddlers Ages 2-5)
Toddlers and their parents are invited to participate in special playtime events in the Fun Factory throughout your Celebrity Cruise. Toys and activities for the younger cruisers will be provided. Changing tables in the bathroom closest to the Fun Factory are provided.
Babysitting On Celebrity Cruises
Celebrity Cruises provides in-room babysitting for up to two children from the same family at the rate of $8 per hour. Babysitting requests should be made 24 hours in advance and is subject to availability. Kids must be at least twelve months old.
Celebrity Cruises After Hours Programs For Kids
Celebrity Cruises offer after hours programs for children. A slumber party is offered from 10PM-Midnight is available every night by signing up. The fee is $6/hour/child. There is a complimentary slumber party the last night of the cruise.
